Robert Weed
From: Manassas, Virginia
Mr. Weed received his law degree from University of Maryland Law School in 1976 and is admitted to practice in Virginia. He is principal of a three-attorney law firm practicing consumer bankruptcy law exclusively in the Alexandria Division of the Eastern District of Virginia. He serves on the Eastern District of Virginia Electronic Case Filing Advisory Committee.
Prior to entering the practice of law in 1993, Mr. Weed worked professionally as a political consultant from 1972 to 1992. He was State Chairman of the College Republican Federation of Virginia in 1972. He served as Rep. Newt Gingrich's Administrative Assistant in 1979 and Director of Public Affairs of the National Republican Congressional Committee in 1981. He was top strategist for four Congressmen and one Senator who won seats which had never before elected Republicans. In addition, Mr. Weed teaches the new members Sunday school class at Cherrydale Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia.
Mr. Weed is a long-time member of NACBA. He has represented NACBA at various bankruptcy events in Washington D.C. and has given educational presentations at NACBA's Capitol Hill Meetings and Conventions.
