Marlow Preston

Since 1990, Marlow Preston has dedicated his career to the exclusive practice of consumer and small business bankruptcy law in the central Texas area surrounding Austin. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Preston has helped over 6000 consumers and small businesses get a fresh financial start through the bankruptcy process. Most of the cases are Chapter 13 reorganization. He has been a NACBA member since 1993.
Mr. Preston holds two degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his BA in 1968 in Philosophy and Government, and his JD in 1969. He is also a graduate of the Texas College of Trial Advocacy, the trial advocacy program at University of Texas, and is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Preston is Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the American Board of Certification.
Mr. Preston joined NACBA as soon as he became aware of its existence. He has been actively involved ever since, attending the last eleven conventions and participating frequently as a presenter. He has also been a generous contributor to NACBA activities. In April, 2000, Mr. Preston was one of five attorneys across the United States recognized by NACBA for his "extraordinary contribution" in the fight to preserve "Basic Rights for Consumer Debtors in Bankruptcy."
